There are many ways to get involved in the community life and support it, and here, at Haus Maids, we are always searching for the best ways to give back to the local community and help it develop further. We are delighted now to be part of the Alton Rugby club as sponsors, to be able to encourage the young generations to engage with physical activities, develop a healthy competitive spirit and maybe develop a career in the field in the future.

The Alton Rugby Club was founded in 1924, and across the years flourished in the community, especially with the youngest member at the moment being 5 years old, while the older one is 60, which shows the inclusivity principle the club developed itself on. The Rugby’s Club ambition is to be one of the leading clubs in Hampshire and we know that it’s only a matter of time until they will achieve their goal.

Except Men’s Rugby, the club is proud to have the colts squad, composed of under 17 and 18 age groups who competed in the Hampshire Colt’s Cup and the National Colt’s Cup, the main focus of this group being the transition between the junior and senior rugby players, as the players are encouraged to join the next age league through their training. At the moment this part of the club supports 40 people and always welcomes new players at any point in the season.

The junior section is also present for the last 30 years. It has produced seven England Schools Internationals and countless Hampshire and London Division players. Bruce Ray, the Chairman of Alton Junior Rugby states : “Our mission is to give children the opportunity of being introduced to rugby in a safe and friendly environment; to encourage them to progress from mini and midi rugby to play the full, 15-a-side game respecting the traditions of the game of rugby football”

Girls’s rugby is also another focus of the Alton Rugby Football Club. Started in 1991, a time in which women’s rugby was still in early stages, Alton girls club played their first match against London Welsh. In time, with training and perseverance, they enter top league in the country in 2001 by winning Premier II. For the next 2 seasons, Haus Maids Alton is going to sponsor the Girls Team and hopefully this will provide enough help towards new kit, equipment and better facilities overall for the team.

The Alton Rugby Club is not only about the action on the field. Everyone is welcomed to join in as Alton RFC is one of the most sociable and friendly clubs in the area. On their website,http://www.altonrfc.club , from which you can also find more information, you can also find the spectators comments and find out more about the cheerful atmosphere, where their emphasis is on enjoying the game and sharing sporting success. They also provide a clubhouse with a list of events for the community where you can volunteer and a long list with all the input they had over the time for the community.
